Established in February of 2022, we have one goal: to support our friends & neighbors in the Northeast Kingdom who are battling cancer. Through our grant program, we provide direct financial help to people just like you. We know that dealing with cancer comes with a lot of stress, and we want you to know you’re not alone. ### Frequently asked questions: #### **What’s Next?** One of the NEKCAN Board of Directors will reach out to you, via the telephone number that you provided, to verify your information. You can expect to get that call within a few days of submitting your application. #### **When are grants applications approved?** We approve grant applications at our monthly board meetings, which usually happen the third week of each month. Once grants are approved we usually send out the first check within a few business days. #### **How will I know if my grant application was approved?** After the board meeting we will send out an e-mail letting you know that you have been approved and we will also follow up with a phone call. #### **How much will the grant be for?** We cannot guarantee a specific amount but we do our best to provide meaningful support over a period of several months.
